Description
“Noble qualities fill me with delight” opens a line by Hafiz Ibrahim (1872–1932), which ends: “as a stranger is delighted to come home and meet his own.” For a host, a teacher, or a friend whose character you admire.
It is written in Diwani, the flowing script of the Ottoman chancery, in dark ink over an oil painting of an octagonal stone fountain beneath an arch hung with white jasmine. Printed exactly as shown.
