Description
“Stand for the teacher and give him full honour” opens the ode to teachers by Ahmad Shawqi (1868–1932), and goes on: “the teacher was nearly a messenger.” Learned by heart in schools across the Arab world, it is the gift for a teacher, a school or a graduation day.
It is written in Kufic, the oldest of the Arabic scripts, upright and geometric, in dark ink over a watercolour of a quiet library with tall arched windows, sunbeams and books on an oak table. Printed exactly as shown.
Printed, framed and delivered inside Saudi Arabia. Cotton canvas on a wooden stretcher with an outer frame in your choice of five colours, made by our Riyadh print partner and delivered to every city in the Kingdom in 3 to 8 working days. Delivery is included in the price.
