Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim — “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” — the line that opens the Quran and every good beginning, written as one sweeping line of Thuluth, the grand script of mosque walls, with its vowel marks and the small ornaments of the style set in the spaces between the letters. It is set in gold on a wide inlaid cartouche of dark walnut, surrounded by a girih star pattern in walnut and gold, the geometry of Islamic marquetry. A statement piece for a dining wall, a majlis or a reception, printed exactly as shown on cotton canvas and framed by hand.
Six sizes, from 60 × 35 cm to 200 × 118 cm, all printed landscape at the same wide proportion. Our main size is 120 × 70.5 cm, framed in polished gold, at AED 595: it suits a dining wall, a sofa or a king bed. 60 × 35 cm sits above a desk or a console; 80 × 47 cm over a sideboard; 100 × 59 cm over a two-seat sofa; 150 × 88 cm over a three-seat sofa or on a majlis wall; 200 × 118 cm on the main wall of a majlis or a reception. The price of each size is in the picker, and the size guide shows them to scale.
Prices are per piece and include the frame when you choose one. Pick Frameless (canvas only) for the rolled canvas on its own, or any of the eight hand-finished mouldings — polished gold, matte black, antique gold, light wood, oak, dark walnut, white, silver.
Canvas, with or without acrylic glass. Printed on cotton canvas, either rolled unframed or stretched over a bar and framed by hand. Choose Canvas + acrylic glass and the framed piece is glazed under clear acrylic, which protects the print; glazed pieces ship inside the UAE.
Delivery across the UAE: AED 50 flat per order, however many pieces. Outside the UAE, Worldwide Express is a flat AED 250 per order, delivered within 8 days by tracked courier.

Measure the furniture first: the piece, or two side by side, should cover about two-thirds of its width, with its centre about 150 cm from the floor. A shelf or a desk: A4 or A3. A hallway, a study or a child’s room: A3 or A2. Above a console or a sideboard: A1 or 50 × 70 cm. Above a three-seat sofa: 100 × 70 cm or 90 × 120 cm, or two A1s. A majlis wall or a wide entrance: A0 or 90 × 120 cm. Above five words, start from A2.

▸ Is it an original paint?
It is a print, made to order in our UAE workshop exactly as shown — not a hand-written original. For originals by named calligraphers, see the artists page.
▸ How should a piece carrying words of the Quran be kept?
With the respect its words carry: hang it at or above eye level on a clean wall — never on the floor or leaning against it, and not in a bathroom. Dust it with a soft, dry cloth.
▸ Can you wrap it as a gift?

▸ Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge, within 12 hours of ordering — message us on WhatsApp or at connect@mashq.ae. After that your piece is being made, and the order can’t be cancelled or changed.
▸ What is it made of?
Cotton canvas — rolled, or stretched and framed by hand — and a framed piece can be glazed under clear acrylic glass.
▸ How do I look after it?
Dust the canvas with a soft, dry cloth, never a damp one, and hang it out of strong direct sun. Behind acrylic glass, wipe the glass with a soft cloth and a little mild soapy water — never an ammonia window spray or a paper towel, which cloud and scratch acrylic.
▸ Does software touch it?
It is printed from the artwork file exactly as shown. The room scenes on this page are composites — this artwork placed in a rendered room to show its scale.
