A rolled canvas is the most forgiving: a name in Arabic calligraphy is AED 75 on rolled A3 canvas in Diwani, Thuluth or Nastaliq, and any of our calligraphy paints starts at AED 60 rolled. You choose the frame at home, to suit your own wall.
What does not travel well
Be honest with the luggage. A framed piece is bulky and its corners take the knocks; a piece glazed under acrylic glass ships inside the UAE only. If you love a framed paint, take it rolled instead and frame it when you land. An original on paper by one of our calligraphers ships unframed, rolled in a rigid tube, which is how it should travel anyway.

Words that say the UAE
A souvenir that is not a fridge magnet carries something you heard every day of the trip:
- «حياكم الله», God greet you; welcome. The Gulf welcome at the door and over the coffee. On a serving tray in Diwani or a tissue box.
- «قهوة عربية وقلب طيّب», Arabic coffee and a kind heart: the two things a majlis offers first. On a tray in Ruq'ah, made for the dallah and the small finjan cups.
- «شاي كرك والدنيا بخير», karak tea, and all is well with the world: the afternoon break across the Emirates. On a Ruq'ah mug, AED 50.
- «أهلاً وسهلاً», welcome, on the Ahlan wa Sahlan box for dates, AED 95, with its lid in Kufic.
- «سلام», peace: one word everyone at home will recognise, on a Kufi tray.

Order early in the trip
Everything is made after you order it: 5–7 working days, then delivery to any address in the UAE, AED 25 per order for décor alone, AED 50 when wall art is in it, however many pieces. So the first days of a holiday are the time to order, not the last afternoon. A name is checked with you for its spelling before it is made, and you can change or cancel an order free within 12 hours.

If you fly before it is ready, or you only thought of it on the plane, Worldwide Express is a flat AED 250 per order, whatever the quantity, delivered within 8 days by tracked courier.
