Calligraphy Paints

A calligraphy paint is our name for one line of classical calligraphy, printed to order — AED 60 rolled A3, AED 150 framed A3, plus a flat AED 50 UAE delivery, in 5–7 working days: a verse, a proverb or your own words, in Diwani or Persian Nastaliq, on cotton canvas — rolled, stretched and framed by hand, or framed behind acrylic glass. Twenty-one lines are already written — Quranic verses, Persian poetry, Saadi — and every one of them can be reshaped in Mashq Studio before it is made.

Three ways to order, ready on every page: an A3 rolled canvas for AED 60, an A3 framed in polished gold for AED 150, or an A2 framed for AED 245. Or choose from ten sizes, three finishes and eight mouldings. Prices include the frame when you choose one; UAE delivery is a flat AED 50 per order and takes 5–7 working days after we confirm the layout with you.

Every paint is printed with archival inks in our UAE workshop, stretched over a bar and framed by hand, then inspected and packed. Because it is made for you, it cannot be returned — but if it arrives damaged, send a photo within 24 hours and we replace it.

Which size for which wall? Measure the furniture first: the piece, or two side by side, should cover about two-thirds of its width, with its centre about 150 cm from the floor. A shelf, a desk or a side table: A4 or A3, read up close. A hallway, a study or a child’s room: A3 or A2. Above a console or a sideboard: A1 or 50 × 70 cm. Above a three-seat sofa: 100 × 70 cm or 90 × 120 cm, or two A1s side by side. A majlis wall or a wide entrance: A0 or 90 × 120 cm. Above five words, start from A2 — and Thuluth needs more room than Diwani. Near a kitchen, in a hallway or a child’s room, add acrylic glass. The whole method, with the price of every size: how to choose the size of a calligraphy painting.
